Neuromonitoring Physician - BT

Plus, you will be working with highly trained surgical neurophysiologists that are required to become certified in neurophysiological monitoring (CNIM or D.ABNM). This ensures onsite monitoring by a highly trained, skilled team member at all times.
The Neuromonitoring Physician will function as an integral member of the neuromonitoring team by providing consultation services to Surgical Neurophysiologists in the operating room during surgery. These services are provided real-time, via a secure internet connection allowing for real-time data observation as well as communication with the on-site surgical neurophysiologist, Surgeon, Anesthesiologist and other operating room personnel as needed.
- Ensure continuous availability for supervisory support while on duty, complying with all company guidelines.
- Work cooperatively with other neuromonitoring physicians, surgical neurophysiologists and IONM support staff.
- Review IONM reports and comply with all insurance/third party payer regulations regarding IONM.
- Provide an accurate time log for professional oversight services provided, in accordance with SpecialtyCare policies and procedures; timely submission of interpretative reports for the cases monitored as dictated by the hospitals needs and rules.
- Participate in administrative meetings, continuing education activities and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain positive and collegial working relationship with hospital and surgical clients/customers.
- M.D. or D.O. degree; board certified or eligible in Neurology.
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the required state(s) where SpecialtyCare provides services and where the remote physician resides. Obtain and maintain state medical licenses.
- Clinical expertise and experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM), EEG interpretation, electrodiagnosis (EMG/NCS), and evoked potential interpretation.
- Board certification in clinical neurophysiology preferred.
- Clinical fellowship in neurophysiology preferred.
